And
so it was that Abraham, having waited long and endured patiently, realized and
obtained what God had promised. (Hebrews 6:15)
REFLECT
I
struggle with patience when I’m witnessing to someone. Because I love the Lord
so passionately, it’s hard for me to understand why other people don’t love Him
as soon as they learn about Him. Tonight I was in a small group when someone
made a comment that opened my eyes. He said that just taking someone to church
isn’t enough… You can’t leave it up to the preacher.
This
was a revelation to me because I’d never thought of it that way. Witnessing to
others is much more than just inviting them to church. Witnessing comes through
your actions, words, and even non-verbal communication. Hebrews 6:15 shows that
waiting and trusting in the Lord results in God fulfilling his promise.
Even
if you don’t save somebody the first time you bring them to church, it’s okay
because you planted the seed. It’s not up to us to push religion upon others,
even if we believe it’s for their own good. God’s timing is perfect, and he
places people in your life for a reason. Be content knowing that you did your
best to witness to that person and God will do the rest!
PRAY
Father,
help me to practice patience. Remind me that You are in control, and thy will
be done. In the meantime, guide me to serve You the best that I can. Thank You
for redeeming us. I love You! Amen.
YOUR
TURN
Do
you trust that God’s timing is perfect?
How can you practice patience throughout this
week?
