REFLECT
At the start of every year, people are determined to better themselves through developing a fitness routine, eating healthier, becoming a better person, and the list goes on. There is one resolution that needs to be a main focus though; making Christ a priority.

As we look back on 2016, we notice the things that we did well, and the things that could have been improved on, pertaining to our walk with Christ. Some of us may have been very adamant on our quiet time with God, but lacked on following His commands, or vice versus. Whatever the circumstance, there is always room for us to grow with Christ and make Him a priority in our day to day life.

There are so many ways we can make God more of a priority in our life.

First, it is a good idea to look at our current priorities. Where are you investing most of your time and energy? Is your walk with Christ at the top of this list? If not, take a step back and think about what is really important to you in your life. I have found that the Lord is so so worthy of being our top priority. Once you prioritize your list and sort through what truly matters, things will slowly start to fall into place.

Having a set time in our day to have quiet time can also help us in our walk with Christ. If you can simply put aside five minutes out of your day to talk to Him and dive into His word, the results are endless. After doing this, days usually get better and your attitude towards the day will most likely become happier. Spending time in word and prayer can help you grow very intimate with God.

Lastly, simply trusting in Him will make the year of 2017 a great one. I know sometimes we go through so many trials and tribulations, but putting your full trust in the Lord is a must. The more you do this, you’ll notice His work in your life.

PRAY
Lord, help me put You first in my every day life. You have done so much for me and I could not be more thankful for Your endless love. Help 2017 be a year of constant love for You.

YOUR TURN
What are a few things you can change in your day to day life to help make God a priority?
What can you do to help make someone else fall head over heels in live with Christ and make Him a priority in their life?
