READ
"I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted." (Job 42:2)

"The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands." (Psalm 138:8)

"I cry out to God Most High, to God who fulfills his purpose for me." (Psalm 57:2)

REFLECT
I don't know about you, but I had a pretty interesting weekend. Let's just say that when most girls daydream about prom, they probably don't picture it starting out with a serious car accident. But, as I have seen throughout so many different instances in my life, God's plans are typically different than the ones I scheme up for myself. A possible fatal car crash definitely wasn't on my radar, but through it all, I can see the sovereign hand of God working through everything.

What might have caused others to sink into bouts of anxiety actually helped me to value my life in a new way. At the site of the accident, a patrol officer exclaimed that the crash I was in could've quite easily taken my life. The fact that I was able to walk away without a single scratch or bruise was undoubtedly a miracle from God. Through tears and shaky hands, it became evident to me that the Lord has a unique purpose for my life. If He was done with me, He would have allowed the circumstances of that afternoon to end much differently.

Whether your life seems like a fairytale or you're wondering if you should even keep trying, God has placed you exactly where you are for a reason. You have a unique purpose that only you can fulfill. In Ephesians 2:10, it says that before we were even born, Christ prepared good works for us to do.

This means that you have a distinct purpose because the works that God set out for you to accomplish are different than anyone else's. You are special and you have so much worth and purpose. The next time you criticize yourself, force a smile through tear-stained eyes, or consider ending your life altogether, remember that God isn't finished with you yet. Don't give up on yourself and don't give up on Him.

Learn to search for the joy woven within your current circumstances. Each and every day is an utter gift from God, but it is so easy to miss out on the wonder of things. Find God in every moment and begin to walk with Him in the present - "forgetting what is behind and straining towards what is ahead." If you learn to seek the will of the Father and truly value each moment with Him, then He will accomplish His purpose for your life. Just hang on and trust in the One who fills your lungs with every breath you breathe.

PRAY
Lord, thank You for placing me exactly where You want me. Help me to make the most of every opportunity You set before me. Show me Your sovereign hand that guides my life and draws me close to You. O God, fulfill your purpose within me. Help me to value my life and teach me to number my days so that I can be Your vessel. Fill my days with the joy and wonder that comes from knowing You. Amen.

YOUR TURN
How has God reminded you of His purpose for your life?
What are some ways that God can use you in your current stage of life?
How do you think you can find joy and wonder in the everyday?
